General

One of the most beautiful cities in the country, Quba is especially pretty in the spring, when its many gardens and parks bloom. Quba is famous for its apples which have long become its symbol.

Many architectural monuments are preserved in the vicinity of the city: the Juma mosque, the mausoleum of the XVI century, Sakina – Khanum mosque, ancient baths. The city has a historical museum, museum - house of educator, writer and public figure of the XX century A. Bakikhanov.

Besides it Guba is a recognized center of carpet weaving. Local people believe that traditional Guba carpets Chichi, Ag Gul, Pirabadil are the best in Azerbaijan.

Xinaliq, a small mountain village, one of the oldest in the world. Its age is more than 5,000 years. This is the highest and most isolated settlement in the Greater Caucasus mountain range, located on the border with Dagestan, 63 km from Quba. Its residents numbering about 2,000 still retain unique cultural traditions, speak their own language and wear their own traditional clothes.

Just 25km from downtown Kusar, Shahdag’s Mountain resort can be found in one of the most beautiful regions of Azerbaijan. Visitors will be able to choose from a variety of accommodation distributed throughout the complex ranging from luxury hotels, individual chalets and cottages through to camping (in the summer).

During the winter season there will be 19 ski slopes available for skiers of all levels. A professional ski school and a ski hire shop will offer a wide range of ski equipment and advice to cater for guests every need. A brand new ski station equipped with the very latest snow machine technology will ensure that perfect snow conditions will be provided throughout the season.

Other winter activities available will include, snow mobiling, horse riding, snow sliding, tubing and a snow park for children. In the warmer summer months the mountain will come alive with activities such as Mountain Biking, Trontinettes, Zip lining, Horse riding, Quad biking, Paintballing and Bob Karts to name but a few. Younger children will also be catered for with a children’s club and bouncy castle as well as other activities.

As the project develops there are plans to include a Golf course, Tennis courts, Football pitches and Basketball courts as well as an Aqua park, swimming pools, Spa and entertainment areas. The resort’s main Plaza will provide a number of boutiques and restaurants and contain extensive underground parking facilities.
